Our Mission
Our aim is simple: to empower teachers, teaching assistants and school leaders with the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach reading and writing effectively. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in literacy - and every teacher deserves the training to make it possible.
About Abigail Steel
Abigail Steel has worked in education for over 20 years. She began as a classroom teacher, working across a range of age groups, before moving into consultancy, training, and authorship.
As an education consultant and trainer, Abigail has supported hundreds of schools and teachers in the UK and internationally. She specialises in English language and literacy, and is often described as both practical and inspirational in her approach.
Abigail is the author of the Department for Education-validated Rocket Phonics programme (published by Hachette) and has written numerous literacy programmes, resources, assessments, children’s books and articles. What drives Abigail most is seeing teachers grow in confidence — and watching children light up when reading finally makes sense.
