Lisa Sharman, Consultant

My name is Lisa Sharman; proud and privileged to be growing curious minds for many years!
Truly Nomadic, I have moved around the globe, enjoying my formative years in Qatar, before settling in the South West of England. I came into teaching whilst raising my own children, gaining my Bachelor's Degree in Humanities before being awarded my PGCE from Bristol University.
I have worked with the most vulnerable children in Bristol and specialise in SEMH and 'reluctant readers'. I have an absolute passion to ignite the love of learning through resilience and self esteem.
I have taught in both special and mainstream settings, primary and secondary all as part of successful Senior Leadership teams and most recently, as a primary Head Teacher.
Unlocking potential and seeing each child progress in their reading journey is a challenge that I am honoured to accept and delight in. I have always believed in creating a community of readers - growing in a positive, fun environment with enjoyment of phonics being central to that growth. Learning to read should be fun, Rocket Phonics understands that more than any other program I have ever known.
Personally, I have been married to a very patient man for over 30 years and together we have two fantastic daughters- and our German Shepherd Bella!
